30th ICE IEEE/ITMC Conference

We are thrilled to announce our participation and presentation of the METAFACTURING project at the prestigious 30th ICE IEEE/ITMC Conference, which is a highlight of the Madeira Digital Transformation Week, taking place in the beautiful Madeira Island, Portugal.

The MetaFacturing project represents a leap forward in digital manufacturing, combining innovative technologies to revolutionize how we approach production processes.

Our presentation will cover the groundbreaking methodologies and applications we've developed, showcasing how MetaFacturing can drive efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the industry. We are excited to be part of this significant event, bringing together thought leaders, researchers, and industry experts to discuss the latest advancements in technology management and digital transformation. It is a fantastic opportunity to share insights, exchange ideas, and collaborate on shaping the future of digital manufacturing.

During the DiMAT workshop “Synergizing Digital Technologies and Data for Advanced Manufacturing” in collaboration with the sister project Metafacturing, the most relevant features and objectives of the DiMAT and metaFacturing project were presented. We have also discussed the current status of the DiMPS toolkit development, showing some examples of the DiMPS toolkit application for glass forming by laser. The METAFACTURING project, led by KU Leuven, discussed the most recent advances related to in-process data exploitation to improve casting and welding processes.
